I'm on the football team; I don't have enough time for my school work.
I wake up every morning at 5am to go to morning football practice. I am the starting running back, so football is a priority to me. After school I have practice again from 4pm to 6pm. By the time I get home I need I eat a quick dinner and start my homework. I am so exhausted that it becomes hard for me to focus. I often push assignments to the last minute and find myself cramming for tests.
I am an Alpha Scholar.
In order to be successful in both school and football, I first need to learn how to make them both fit into my lifestyle. What skills do I need to develop in order to maximize them both? Alpha Scholars designed a program that fit perfectly into my lifestyle. I discovered strategies that allow me to manage and maximize my time to the fullest. My Alpha Scholars mentor related my training in football to my study skills. Believe it or not, we applied some of the practice skills that I use in football to studying, such as interval strategies. We used technology as a tool to help me meet my objectives ahead of time. The best part of all, my Alpha Scholars mentor was there every step of the way. He was also a student athlete in high school was always available when I needed advice or support inside and outside of my sessions.
